Charles Ott served as the director of Jawonio in Yonkers, New York, between 2002 and 2015. His responsibilities in this position ranged from preparing bids on various buildings throughout Westchester and Rockland counties to hiring and training new employees, including numerous employees living with disabilities. He was also tasked with drafting contracts and managing the completion of awarded contracts, an objective he successfully fulfilled on every project over the course of 13 years. Charles Ott also served in a customer liaison role.

Mr. Ott studied behavioral science as an undergraduate at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry. He graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA and his bachelor of science in 1996. He has also been certified in building service management. Charles and Ellen Ott reside in North Carolina.

Outside of his professional activities, Charles Ott pursues personal interests including reading and playing baseball. In 2016 he was named to the Dutchess County New York Baseball Hall of Fame as both a player and manager. He is also a member of the Society for American Baseball Research.
